Hello my friend, my name is Timothy Onyango. I am the founder of Compassionate Care Foundation and I am responsible for it’s success. We started our foundation in 2024. We now have 36 children in our community that we help care for. We feed them at times and do what we can, in every aspect of their lives. We want them to grow into stable young followers of Jesus Christ. And then, yes, into successful older adults with a mission for our Lord. We do this to enhance the area that God has put us in charge of here in Uganda, Africa. And we love doing it? But just think; we could do so much more if we had your help!

Timothy was born into a poor family of 9 in Uganda. Growing up, there was never enough. Food was scarce, school fees were a struggle, and medical care felt out of reach.

The hardest moment came when Timothy lost his mother, “Aside Manjeri Elizabeth”. She suffered from diabetes, but because Timothy’s family was poor, they couldn’t get her the medical attention she needed. That pain never left him. But it planted a seed: And the thought that “No one should suffer just because they are poor” burned in Timothy’s heart and soul.

As a child, Timothy was sponsored by Compassion International. It gave him hope, school supplies, and a chance. But the sponsorship was cut off early, before he could finish school. Timothy knows what it feels like to have a door open but then have it close, right before his eyes. But before long, he connected again to his sponsor Timothy Forrester to help him finish school.

That experience is why Timothy developed such a deep love for kids. He remembered being that child - waiting, hoping, and wondering if anyone saw him. Today, his heart is for the children in Uganda who are still waiting and hoping.

Timothy is presently studying to be an attorney at Nkumba University in Uganda. He is in his 3rd year. His dream of becoming an attorney is coming true. Timothy did not choose law just for a career, but to help his community.

As an attorney, I believe I can benefit Compassionate Care Foundation here in Uganda in three ways. Hear these “3” ways in audio form by clicking on the track, “THREE WAYS I CAN HELP” on the “OUR PEOPLE” page in this website.
